Metalliferous - Opening Reception Thursday Sept.4 @5pm

Hello - Upcoming show announcement!

Come by Lillstreet Art Center this Thursday (Sept 4) to the opening reception of "Metalliferous" -- a group show of 23 metalsmiths.

I'll be showing a new pair of earrings. These brass anvil earrings were hand-fabricated while monitoring open studio sessions at Lillstreet this summer. To make them lightweight/comfortable, the anvils are hollow and made from a very thin sheet of brass. It was very difficult to solder all 26 joints without melting such thin material -- but in the end, everything worked out. The earring hooks are gold-filled. If you're interested, this pair will be available for sale at the gallery.
